How you can contribute
It is our desire that we provide Bible Study to all women, regardless of their ability to pay. The cost to provide Bible Study and childcare is approximately $20 per person, per registration session. We ask that you consider helping by donating financially as you are able, for yourself and perhaps for someone who cannot afford to donate at this time. Your financial contribution is fully tax-deductible and greatly appreciated.
In addition, each small group will be given the opportunity to serve together as childcare helpers one week per session. (If you have health concerns, please communicate this to your group facilitator.) Thank you so much for your generosity and for helping make Women’s Bible Study available for everyone!
Why the registration form looks so different
If you attended Bible Study this fall, you’re already a veteran at using our new computerized check-in system! Check-in is just one component of our new church management system, which we’re rolling out in phases. We’re now beginning to offer some of the features of our secure internal website, including online giving and integrated online registration.
Here’s what to do after you hit the “Register Now” button
- If you have already set up an account for this secure internal website (most likely to use our online giving or submit a background check as part of a volunteer application), log in with your email address and password.
- If you don’t have an account, select the “Create an Account” link on the right side of the page near the top.Creating an account will take a few minutes, but will save a lot of time in the future. No more entering all of your contact information and address every time you register for a class or event. When you log in to your account with your email address and password, the system will already have all of that information!
- One of the pieces of information requested is your birthdate, and please believe we’re not asking just to be nosy. As the church grows, we want to make sure we don’t inundate people with useless information. If you’re a married thirtysomething mother of two, you’re probably not going to be interested in events for singles in their twenties. Having your gender, marital status and age (which the computer system calculates using your birthdate) allows us to send you the information that’s appropriate for you. But if you REALLY don’t want to give us the year you were born, at least enter the month and day, and list 1900 as the year. The computer system will think you’re 111, but we humans on staff are perceptive enough to know that you’re not just EXTREMELY youthful looking for your age:-) And you won’t receive invitations to register yourself for kids’ events!
- Once you’ve logged in, or created an account and then logged in, click on the “Select” link next to your name in your list of family members. Answer the questions in the registration form to register yourself.
- If you need childcare for a child age 5 or younger, answer Yes to the childcare question in your registration form. Then once you complete your registration, choose “Continue”, then “Register Another Person” at the top of the form on the next screen. Select the child in your family for which you’ll need childcare, and choose the Bible Study childcare request form, then select “Continue” to move to the next screen. Once you submit their name, repeat for any additional children.
- Once you’ve registered yourself and any children who will need childcare, enter your credit card information for any payments required, then click on “Submit Form(s)” at the bottom. You’ll receive a confirmation email to let you know we’ve received your registration.
If you have any questions about the registration process, please contact Sherri Oswald via email or at 503.656.2328.
