The mission of Willamette’s women’s ministry is four-fold:
INSTRUCT women through the teaching of the Word of God.
ENCOURAGE authentic & meaningful relationships with other women.
EQUIP women to lead godly, Christ-centered lives through mentoring & discipleship.
INSPIRE women to worship God in every area of life.
It is our conviction that ministering to women is ministering to the world. As we are built up by His Word, encouraged in healthy relationships, equipped for life, and inspired to worship, our lives begin to shine for God’s glory and impact our families, friends, co-workers, and communities. Some of our current goals include:
- Promoting intergenerational relationships according to the model of Titus 2.
- Enabling and supporting women to exercise their spiritual gifts, for the edification of the body of Christ (Eph. 4:12).
- Inspiring and equipping women to reach the world around them with the whole gospel of Christ—the gospel that includes both the salvation message and the meeting of practical needs through compassionate action (Romans 1:16, James 2:15).
